POTRAZ 2024 Innovation Drive

Aeroclock Technicals Pvt Ltd, led by Mr. Kumbirai N. Matingo, participated in the 2024 POTRAZ Innovation Drive held at the Ancient City in Masvingo from 23-25 September 2024. Mr. Matingo, an environmental and business expert, was joined by key team members Mr. Morelife Zibayiwa, an electronics specialist, and Mr. Andrew Chindedza, a metallurgical engineer. Together, they showcased Aeroclock's innovative smart locker system for courier services, integrated with the PUDO app. This innovation demonstrated their commitment to advancing the logistics industry through practical, tech-based solutions.

2023 RT-Thread Conference was fruitful.

From 1st to 3rd of June 2023, Mr Morelife participated in an international tech conference that was focused on exploring the effectiveness of Real-time operating systems (RTOS) on MCUs and other alternative systems. He presented his article titled Inter-Processor Communication for Embedded Sensor Nodes on 2nd of June 2023. In his address, Mr Morelife stated that, it is important to explore all available embedded system data handling techniques to achieve as close to real time as possible. He commended RT-Thread Global Community Operations (Hosting organization) team and applaud them for their state-of-the-art RTOS. His focused speech addressed IPC technique and how it can be used in systems where some RTOS applications are not compatible or not applicable.

Get Started with 3D printing at Aeroclock Technicals.

3D printing, also known as additive manufacturing, is defined as a process in which a digital file is used to create a three-dimensional solid object. In the 3D printing process, sequential layers of material are laid down by the ‘printer’ until object creation is completed. For the first-time, Aeroclock Technicals purchased a MakerPi 3D printer model P3. In 2023 P series, the recently procured 3D printer was the latest printer produced by the Chinese Tech company Shenzhen Soongon Technology Co., LTD. Aeroclock Technicals become the company entity to import a 3D printer in Zimbabwe after the Zimbabwe National Geospatial and Space Agency (ZINGSA) procured it’s heavy duty dual extruder in the previous year. We now produce tailored plastic parts, box or cylindical shaped objects as well as implants devices for patients.

Aeroclock concluded a 5 day 3D training at MSU

The department of Research and Innovation at Midlands State University hosted a hands-on technical training on 3D Design and Printing provided by Aeroclock Technicals at it’s main campus. All Students from Science, Engineering and relevant disciplines, Lecturers, Technicians and members from the surrounding community were invited to a week-long program. The event started on the 10th of July to 14th of July 2023. A short training involved line sketching, use of dimensions, creation of parts and 3D modelling. Practical activities took place from day one until the end. On the final day, Aeroclock Technicals brought it’s MakerPI 3D printer where every trainee could have any opportunity to practice printing from file creation, slicing in Cura and printing procedures.
